Golden September: the print, the story, the pricing
Golden September: In the Midwest and South, fall doesn't start until October. In the Rockies, the leaves can start turning early in September and most of the show might be over before October starts. I set up this photo in late September, when a cool mountain breeze rippled through the trees and the leaves sounded like a waterfall. I stopped by this meadow three days in a row on my way to various hikes, when I left the area on my fourth day the wind had blown nearly all the golden leaves to the ground. The black marks on the trunk are caused by elk chewing the aspen bark. Released September 2007, edition of 200. Sizes up to 24x36.
