The House of Stone and Light | Released December, 2010 | Limited edition of 242 | Chaco Canyon is the site of one of the first major civilizations in North America. Here, thousands of people would gather for ceremonies and to trade goods with others from thousands of miles away. This carefully planned community took generations to build, and its impact was felt throughout the continent hundreds of years before Europeans arrived. Chaco culture thrived here from 850 to 1250. A thousand years later it's easy to be amazed by what Chacoans accomplished. This is a society built around the sun, and that power is still felt-- and seen-- in the house of stone and light.
