Urban Feature March 2008: San Francisco, California
What Lies Beneath
Riding The Cable: San Francisco is known for a lot of things, but two of the most famous are cable cars and Alcatraz. Both are seen here on an early April morning. Edition of 200.
Serendipity: Behind the scenes at one of San Francisco's biggest tourist draws-- Fisherman's Wharf-- are some of the small working boats that gave the area its name back in the day. In this image are Godzilla, Bass Bottom, and Serendipity. I enjoy seeing the names on the boats. Serendipity just has that lucky ring to it, with a hint of a chance encounter. Photo archived April, 2005. Released March, 2008.
Pacific Beach: Tourists and locals wandered the beach in the morning fog while a brave surfer prepared to wade into the chilly Pacific waters of Northern California. What I like best about this image is the people in the distance fading into the mist Edition of 42, sizes to 16x20 remain available.
Golden Skyline: It's a world-famous landmark, here showing the city by the bay in the background between the cables. Released March, 2008. Edition of 42.
