Squaw Creek: This national wildlife refuge offers sanctuary to hundreds of thousands of migratory geese, eagles, and other waterfowl throughout the year. The mounds in the water are muskrat mounds, which sometimes serve as resting places for bald eagles to eat freshly caught fish. Photographed and released January, 2009.
