Dusk descends on El Morro in San Juan, Puerto Rico. The moat at El Morro was designed to be dry. If invaders got close enough, they would have to descend the moat and have higher walls to scale. No invaders ever got that close. Today it is part of the United States National Park Service at the San Juan National Historic Site.
